United Way of Central Iowa President Participates in Nasdaq Closing Bell Ceremony

United Way Worldwide was invited to ring the Nasdaq closing bell Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025, and Mary Sellers, president of United Way of Central Iowa, joined United Way leaders from across the globe to mark the occasion.

This national moment gave United Way a high-visibility platform to highlight its role in strengthening communities worldwide. As the holiday giving season begins, United Way leaders used the opportunity to encourage generosity and emphasize the essential impact of community support.

“The bell-ringing ceremony is a meaningful way to shine a light on the work happening across United Way communities every day,” Sellers said. “I’m honored to represent central Iowa on a global stage.”
