Donation drive for HOPE for Stable Families

This holiday season, United Way of Central Iowa is collecting essential household cleaning products, gift cards, and housewares for families in need. These families are part of HOPE for Stable Families, a program that helps central Iowa families set goals, remove barriers, and achieve long-term financial stability.

Your donation can make a meaningful difference in the lives of central Iowa families. Join us in supporting them this holiday season by contributing the following items:

Household cleaning items
Various housewares
Gift cards

Drop-Off Information

You can drop off your donations at United Way of Central Iowa from Monday, December 2 – Thursday, December 4:

In-person drop-off: Anytime between 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., at United Way of Central Iowa, 1111 9th Street, Suite 100, Conference Center, Room E.
There will be signage with instructions at the security desk.
By appointment: If you need to drop off donations on Thursday, December 5, please contact Sarah Underwood at sarah.underwood@unitedwaydm.org to arrange a drop-off time.

Explore the diverse winter celebrations observed around the world! For a wonderful introduction, check out the picture book Lights of Winter by Heather Conrad, perfect for children ages 3–9.
