Athene donates 425 computers to United Way partner agencies

Education

Athene, a leading provider of retirement savings products, donated 375 laptops and 50 desktops to United Way of Central Iowa and its partner agencies.

The gently-used computers donated by Athene will help so many of our nonprofit partners to update their technology, and ultimately improve the service they provide. Athene is a long-time supporter of United Way, and we are grateful for their forward thinking in reducing e-waste and partnering with us to ensure these computers would be put to good use in our collective effort to improve lives in our local communities.

United Way distributed the computers to 29 partner agencies, including Oakridge Neighborhood, Eat Greater Des Moines, Youth Justice Initiative of West Des Moines, Orchard Place, Altoona 8th Street Child Care, Camp Fire Heart of Iowa and Jewels Academy.
