DAY OF ACTION: 30 YEARS OF UNITING VOLUNTEERS
On September 12, over 500 dedicated volunteers offered their time and talents to contribute to 20 different organizations, successfully completing nearly 60 impactful projects throughout the community.

More than 700 volunteers gave their time to 29 nonprofits and four metro-area school districts yesterday (September 14) as part of United Way of Central Iowa’s Day of Action, the largest day of volunteer service in the region.

United Way of Central Iowa’s Day of Action is the day of the year when we pull together as a community to harness our collective strength as volunteers. In a normal year, we would be volunteering in person. We would read to students, build houses, clean-up playgrounds, paint a mural, or a myriad of other activities.
