More than 4,000 individuals and families made a Leadership Circle contribution of $1,000 or more during the 2015 United Way campaign. 

On June 1-5, central Iowans will welcome some of the world’s best golfers to the Principal Charity Classic, our community’s premier charitable sports event.

READ to SUCCEED: Volunteers helping children read proficiently

In recognition of its 100^th year, United Way of Central Iowa is launching READ to SUCCEED, its first-ever grassroots public awareness campaign to engage the entire community and call individuals to take action to ensure students read proficiently by the end of third grade. 

In 2016 United Way of Central Iowa marks its 100^th year in Central Iowa. It’s a big milestone and we have a lot to celebrate! Over the course the next year we will honor and thank the leaders of the past and present—the legends in our community who built something lasting and great. We will look forward with optimism to the work ahead of us in the next 100 years. And we will work to help central Iowa better understand the work that United Way does every day to make our community a better place to live and grow for all.
