We are not born understanding our purpose. In fact, our sense of purpose can change throughout our lives, often shifting as our circumstances change and as we get older. 

That’s why it’s recommended that you continue to learn and explore your unique purpose. United Way of Central Iowa developed this website to help our community improve its sense of purpose.

HERE ARE SOME RECOMMENDED STEPS TO EXPLORE YOUR UNIQUE PURPOSE.

  1. Register for the Powered by Purpose Individual Journey. The Purpose Journey is self-guided, so you can participate at your own pace, with two emails sent weekly over a 4-week period. The emails provide thought-provoking questions and activities to help you learn about purpose and work toward creating your own purpose statement.

  2. Browse through our resources page for recommended articles, books, podcasts, events and opportunities for ongoing support in the journey of discovering your purpose.
