Pacesetters are companies that complete their United Way workplace campaign by mid-September with goals for increased participation and giving. This year’s Pacesetter campaign was co-chaired by Cindy Reed, President of Sammons Annuity Group and Dan Seemuth, Chief Operating Officer of Bearence Management Group.
“The Pacesetter organizations seized the opportunity to help set the standard for leadership and inspire other businesses across central Iowa to build momentum for successful United Way campaigns,” Reed says.
“We owe our thanks to all this year’s Pacesetters for their generosity and commitment. They set the bar high and give all of us confidence for reaching our campaign goal. It means a lot to our community,” Seemuth says.
The 2013 United Way of Central Iowa campaign has a goal to raise a record $27.3 million to improve community conditions in education, income and health.
This year’s campaign is chaired by Chris Littlefield with co-chair Tom Mahoney, CEO of ITA Group.
